Climate-neutral bus travel
Postbus for the good of the climate
As an official GOGREEN Services customer in 2014, Postbus actively contributes to climate protection. Deutsche Post DHL’s Carbon Management offsets the transport-related greenhouse gas emissions with climate protection projects.
Certificate of participation
This document certifies the participation in GOGREEN Service for the year 2015. Transport-related greenhouse gas emissions are offset through investments in climate protection projects according to international standards. The actual amount of emissions offset is verified in the following year by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) and validated in the form of an official certificate.
Deutsche Post DHL have a strong sense of responsibility with regard to climate and the environment, which is why climate protection is such a big priority for Postbus. Long-distance bus travel is not only safe, economical and flexible, but is already today the most environmentally friendly mode of transport compared to travel by car, airplane and train.
To make bus travel even more environmentally friendly, our Post team handles all its daily processes with an eye towards resource conservation and climate protection. But we want to do more, which is why we give our passengers the opportunity to make their own contribution to climate protection.
As an Postbus customer, you have the option of booking your ticket “climate neutral”. Simply select the “GoGreen” option when booking your ticket. The surcharge in the amount of EUR 0.50 is then invested in climate protection
projects and the emissions offset. In this way you make a key contribution to climate protection. We provide you with a fully transparent look at current climate protection projects for offsetting emissions (GoGreen climate protection projects). Postbus is thus part of Deutsche Post DHL's successful GoGreen program. Deutsche Post DHL was the first logistics company worldwide to establish a systematic climate protection program.
